Superior Acoustic PET Felt Panels in School Buildings
A newly constructed public school has created a comprehensive educational space that integrates teaching, sports, and reading functions. A key element in enhancing the spatial quality is the application of acoustic PET felt panels, which contribute to a healthy and comfortable acoustic environment in the library, cafeteria, and sports hall.
As a shared public library serving both the school and the surrounding community, the open reading area is designed to strike a balance between acoustic tranquility and ample natural lighting. Large windows allow abundant daylight to flood the interior, enhancing the sense of openness and spatial transparency. Neatly arranged bookshelves are filled with a diverse collection of books. The flooring is made of dark wood, which adds warmth to the environment. To complement the natural color palette, designers selected light-colored acoustic PET felt panels that help reduce the structural rigidity of the architecture, effectively absorbing medium- to high-frequency noise and creating an immersive reading atmosphere. The ceiling features multiple circular recessed lights and large white spherical chandeliers that provide ample and soft illumination.
The ceiling of the sports hall is constructed using high-density, light-colored acoustic PET felt panels, which effectively absorb impact noise generated during physical activities while preserving a sense of openness. This ensures an optimal acoustic environment for both educational instruction and community events. The walls of the hall are divided into upper and lower sections: the upper portion consists of clean white surfaces, while the lower section incorporates light wood-toned vertical Akupanels. This design adds a warm tactile quality and is well-suited for a variety of sporting activities.
